Scope freeze
Scope freeze is the point where changes require a formal trade-off or timeline shift.
Scope freeze does not mean no changes. It means every change is explicit and has a cost.
When to freeze
After the core workflow and edge cases are agreed, freeze scope so the build can move without churn.
How to handle change
Use a change rule: every new request replaces something or moves the date.
